Popular Nigerian singer and dancer, Anita Chukwumfumnaya Obidi, professionally known as Korra Obidi, says she takes responsibility for the roles she played in the eventual demise of her marriage to American chiropractor Dr. Justin Dean.
She quickly adds that, in the same vein, she had played very important roles to see that the marriage lasted, including her contributions to the financial provisions during and after the marriage.
The dancer also disclosed why she publicly admitted to infidelity in her previous marriage with Dean.
In the shocking revelation, the singer-dancer says, “I have played very important roles in the destruction of my marriage. I have also played very important roles in the lasting of the marriage.
“I’ve played very important roles in the monies that we made during the marriage and even after the marriage. I’ve played many roles. I will not say, ‘Ugh! It has nothing to do with me.’ That’s it, because it is two parties and we both had something to do with it.”
In an interview with the News Central, the mother-of-two said her decision to confess to having cheated in her [now defunct] marriage was borne out of a decision not to harbor secrets.
Obidi said she has no regrets about revealing her unfaithfulness in her marriage, emphasising that her confession led to various revelations, including her then husband’s hitherto hidden cheating.
She highlighted that both she and her ex-husband Justin Dean had respectively cheated in their marriage at one time or the other.

“If I had not said what I said, if I had not come through with my truth, it wouldn’t have brought out all the truths that came to light. So, it was like we were both doing these things.
“We would have both been living a lie to please the public, and how long can you do that,” she explained.
Continuing, she said, “I would never regret saying I was having commitment issues before I came to America. I was like, ‘Wow! Is this the only man I’m going to be sleeping with for the rest of my life? So, I dabbled.
“You know, in my book, I admitted to it openly, and a lot of people insulted my destiny for it. But at the end of the day, I will never live with a secret. They kill. So, I’m not doing secrets.”
