I served my term fully -Bobrisky disparages VDM’s audio clip

Popular crossdresser, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has denied a bribery allegation levelled against him by a social media influencer, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.

In an Instagram post released today, Bobrisky claimed that he had served his jail sentence, denying that he had paid any Economic and Financial Crimes Commission officer to drop the money laundering charge against him.

In a wildly trending audio clip, someone said to be Bobrisky had claimed that some unidentified EFCC agents took N15 million from him to drop money laundering charge against him earlier in the year. The crossdresser was tried and jailed six months for abuse of the naira instead.

The EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, responded to the trending audio clip in a statement on Tuesday, stating that the Commission’s Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, had directed an immediate investigation into the situation.

Bobrisky further emphasized that the assertion that he was never incarcerated was untrue and was to be disregarded, branding the widely circulating audio recording as phony.

He wrote, “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira, and that I was never in prison… I didn’t pay any EFCC money, which is a very big lie. I served my term in full, and I came out. Discard any false information.”
