Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, opened up about being toxic with his ex-girlfriends.
The 23-year-old singer disclosed this in the latest episode of the Zero Conditions podcast.
The Asiwaju crooner said that all his failed relationships were his fault.
Ruger said, “I was the toxic one. My relationship problems were my entire fault.
“But when you tell girls to leave, why don’t they want to go? You tell them let’s end this, and they will be like, no, we can work it out.
“It’s not about being a better person. If it’s not working, it’s not working. Let’s end it.
“I was watching one reel and they asked ladies, ‘What’s the most toxic thing you like?’ And they were like, ‘I like it when he is choking me. I love it when he chokes me. I love it when he pushes me. I love it when he shouts at me.”
He added, “Let me tell you, girls are kind of drawn to toxic men in a way. They would not admit it but it’s true. Girls don’t like soft n*ggas (men) like that.
“At least when they are still in their dating phase, but when they want to marry, they can marry a soft boy.”
Similarly, he spoke about his controversial interference with ladies while on stage stating that he always ensured that no one below 21 came to his shows.
“First of all, I’m not the first to do it; lots of artistes do it and they’ll not come for them but maybe because it’s Ruger, they’ll now come for me.
“Before I bring any girl on stage, my team checks their ID to make sure they are over 21. If you’re 18 or 19, you’re not climbing that stage.
“And I ask them openly on stage, ‘Are you ready?’ and they say yes, and they are eager to. I stand and they come to me but I feel like people just want to talk, maybe because it’s me.”
