Tolani Baj, the DJ and former Big Brother Naija housemate, has opened up about how her parents’ separation shaped her destiny.
She revealed that she would not have become a celebrity if her parents had stayed married.
Tolani Baj said that her father was a strict academic who wanted her to pursue higher education and a career in the public sector.
She said that her father was not supportive of her passion for entertainment and would never have allowed her to join a reality TV show.
Tolani Baj shared her story on the latest episode of the Bahd and Boujee Podcast, which she co-hosts with actress Moet Abebe. She said:
“My dad was so anti-entertainment. If my parents were together, I would just be a master’s, Ph.D. holder. My dad would even get me a government job. He would do anything for me.”
