Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo, has criticized Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, for asking the presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi, to pay for the medical bills of Mr Ibu, a comic actor who is currently battling an ailment.
Kanayo said that giving is personal and should not be used to judge others.
Kanayo O. Kanayo also warned those who are using Mr Ibu’s condition to seek attention or trend to stop doing so.
He said that actors will support their colleague individually and collectively as the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
He added that some people prefer to give privately without announcing it.
He expressed his solidarity with Mr Ibu and his family and condemned Omokri and Uche Maduagwu for their comments.
