The Lagos State University (LASU) record breaker, Yusuf Aminat on Thursday visited Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House in Marina.
Aminat, a graduate of Law, emerged the best graduating student for the 2021/2022 academic session with a perfect 5.00 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA), highest point recorded since the inception of the university 40years ago.
Her exceptional achievement has attracted many goodies to her. Governor Sanwo-Olu gave her a staggering sum of N10million (N5m from the governor and additional N5m from the state government) as a reward for her hard work and resilience.
Also, the Edo State Government has offered Aminat an automatic employment in line with the Gov. Godwin Obaseki Administration’s policy of offering automatic employment to Edo indigenes who graduate with First Class in any university.
In the same vein, the Oniba of Iba Kingdom, Oba Adeshina Sulieman Ashade hosted the academic star to celebrate her uncommon feat, and presented her a cheque of N2m in recognition of her hard work.
The university management was the first to reward the genius Law scholar with a substantial N500,000 cash prize.
Her hard work and commitment has not only brought her to lime light but also brought before kings, Governors, Ministers and people that matter in the society.
