Man launches vicious attack on lover for seeking to end abusive relationship

A horrific tale of domestic abuse unfolded in Warri as Madam Sodje Omoefe, a resident of Warri Town, was allegedly assaulted by her ex-lover, Godspower Owutuamo.

The incident, which occurred on Friday, September 15th, has sparked a manhunt for the suspect, who is a SHELL employee from Ogunu Village, Warri.

The nightmare reportedly began when Omoefe, determined to put an end to their abusive relationship, blocked Owutuamo’s calls on her mobile phone. Not giving up, the man allegedly contacted Omoefe using another phone number, and lured her to a location where he frequently spent his time.

The caller had requested Omoefe’s assistance to sell diesel for someone, being the business that the woman engages in.

Upon her arrival at the venue, Owutuamo reportedly pounced on Omoefe in reaction to the termination of their relationship. He thereafter abandoned her and fled the scene.

Reports say Omoefe was found by passersby who thought she was dead and they reported to a female police officer who took her to the hospital and later introduced her to a lawyer to help with her case.
