The Nigeria Police Force, Delta State Command, in conjunction with the Uvwie Local Government Council and the Citizens’ Rights Concern Enhancement Initiative, held a one-day security summit themed, Effective Security for Sustainable Development: The Need for Stakeholder Collaboration.
The summit drew a significant gathering of stakeholders from the security sector and human rights community, facilitating an engaging interactive session.
Emphasizing the collective responsibility for security, participants echoed the imperative to safeguard Delta State.
Notable attendees included the CP Delta State Police Command, represented by DPO Ekpan Division CSP Aliyu Shaba, and the CO 3 Battalion Effurun, Major E Ohegbe, represented by SSGT Mba Ochoio. The Nigerian Airforce was also represented by Flying Officer IB Bunza from 320 FOB, and Pastor Peter Odiobara stood in for the Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Hon Ramson Onoyake. The assembly encompassed Mr. Samson, an advocate for people living with disabilities, DCS Chika representing Nigeria Immigration Services, Youth President of Uvwie Peter Eghere, members of the NURTW, and various youth leaders.
Culminating in a jointly crafted communique, the summit set the groundwork for future collaborations, aiming to enhance synergy among all stakeholders. The entire executive team of the Human Rights Protection Congress Nigeria played an active role in this pivotal event, underlining the commitment to fortifying security and fostering development in Delta State.
