Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has laid the foundation for eight additional duplexes in the Commissioners Quarters, underscoring the project’s pivotal role in advancing his administration’s infrastructure objectives for enhanced collaboration and service provision to Deltans.
Highlighting the housing initiative as a cornerstone of his administration’s commitment to fostering substantial development, Governor Oborevwori reiterated its integral position within the primary tenets of his MORE Agenda for Deltans.
Governor Oborevwori also provided insight into the historical context of the Commissioners Quarters, tracing its inception back to 2002 under the governance of former Governor James Ibori. He underscored the imperative for expanded housing facilities in response to the evolving needs stemming from the growth of specialized ministries over the years.
Demonstrating his administration’s proactive approach to addressing the escalating demand for accommodation, Governor Oborevwori announced the decision to construct eight additional duplexes.
The governor disclosed that the project is slated for completion within six months, with meticulous specifications outlined by the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Godknows Angele.
The commissioner urged the contractor to adhere to rigorous quality standards and ensure timely execution, emphasizing the project’s benefit to the community.
