An old video of the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, has been trending, with about 3,395 posts to its credit.
The video has also stirred Japa, with 4,495 posts.
The main issue has to with a nine-year-old video. The video’s age is displayed in the date under the video.
In the video, there are some white faces hovering behind the revered pastor and he seems to be talking to the local Press in Ukraine as his wife stands by his side.
The church founder tells his interviewer that he was based in the UK and his further responses show that the interview took place in Ukraine.
The controversial video seems to have been inspired by last Sunday’s interview of Pastor Sam Adeyemi of Daystar Christian Centre with Seun Okinbaloye of Channels TV, in which Adeyemi alleged that it was the Holy Spirit that directed him and his wife to permanently relocate to the United States of America.
Those who know Kumuyi well, however, said that contrary to the insinuation that he now lives in the UK with his wife, the aged pastor actually lives in Nigeria, from where he ministers during the weekly Sunday worship and Monday Bible Study; while he also takes off to international venues of his three-year-old pet project called Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK).
Some respondents say he is currently in Douala, Cameroon, for the May Edition of GCK.
Netizens have been reacting to the controversial video based on their worldview and political persuasion.
