Police arrest three suspected one-chance robbers in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command operatives have arrested three persons, suspected to be members of a one-chance robbery gang.

The command disclosed this on its X handle (formally Twitter) @LagosPoliceNG on Saturday.

It was tweeted that “Operatives of @LagosPoliceNG, responding to a distress call about a one-chance incident, embarked on a rescue operation and rescued one Abisola Taiwo ‘f’.

“The operatives also arrested other members of the gang: Mayowa Akinjide ‘m’ aged 44, Aghama Ikponmwen ‘m’ aged 46 and Ahmed Jaleola ‘m.’,”

According to the Police, investigation is ongoing.

It would be recalled that the Police on Monday arrested a suspected one-chance robbery leader, Ndubisi George, 49 who operates within Aguda, Itire, Cele, and Surulere.

Another set of one-chance robbers were also said to have been arrested in Lagos on Saturday.

@NoNonsensezone this morning posted on his X handle that a 45-year-old man identified as Okoro, and 42-year-old, Patience, have been arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command over their alleged involvement in ‘one chance’ robbery in the state.

According to his tweet, the duo were reportedly nabbed at about 6:00am on Saturday, February 17 as they pose as commercial bus drivers while abducting unsuspecting passengers to different locations to defraud them of their properties.

The Police arrested the perpetrators based on reliable information that they had gotten from the public.

One of the victims was said to have been able to identify one of them as one of those who robbed her of N37,000 two weeks ago.
