Police extorts N25K from Bolt passengers

A brave Bolt driver has earned praises on social media for following some rogue police officers who nabbed his passengers early this morning October 17.

The bolt driver narrated how he picked up two young men from Landmark Beach and was heading to Lekki Phase 1 when they ran into some policemen.

He said the officers frisked the young men but found nothing illegal on them, but still demanded their ID cards.

When they couldn’t produce any, the officers ordered them to enter an unmarked Sienna car.

He decided to tail the officers to find out where they were taking the young men. He ended up at the Nigeria Police Zone 2 Command Onikan.

X (formerly) Twitter user who posted the video alleged that the officers extorted N25,000 from the young men.

Responding to the report, the state police command spokesperson said the matter should be referred to the PRO of Zone 2 for comment.
