Seek forgiveness, OPM founder tells parents of abandoned autistic boy

The Founder and General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has adopted an autistic boy abandoned by his parent.

The apostle on his Facebook page queried why a parent will throw away their child simply because he is autistic and can neither hear nor speak.

He asked the parents of the boy he named Aboy Chibuzor to ask God for forgiveness for throwing away a human being created by God; assuring them that the boy they threw away shall soon become a very great man in Nigeria.

“I have been worried and seriously thinking. Why would a parent throw away their child because the child is autistic and cannot speak or hear? I know that the parents of this boy, whom I have named Aboy Chibuzor, is reading this message.

“Please go to church and ask God for forgiveness for throwing away a human being God created. God will forgive you if you ask for forgiveness. God will surely shock you because very soon, this boy you threw away shall become a very great man in Nigeria by the grace of God,” he posted.

What is autism?
According to the National Health Service (NHS), autism is not a medical condition with treatment or cure, but some people need support to help them with certain things.

Being autistic does not mean you have an illness or disease, but it means that the brain works in a different way from other people.

In another development, Apostle Chinyere on Monday visited one of the 29 OPM free schools and presented a cheque of N1 million to the best student in the school, Chiamaka John.

As posted on Facebook, Apostle Chinyere was said to have, in the past, donated a bungalow, land, and cash to the best students in OPM free school.

Unknown to Apostle Chinyere, the residence housing Chiamaka, her mother, and siblings is one he personally funded.

Additionally, two of Chiamaka’s sisters attend OPM Free School, where Chiamaka herself has earned the merit-based title of the best student, winning a prize of N1 million.

He further explained that his philanthropy are fully funded through tithes and offerings in the OPM.
