VIDEO: How Mmesoma doctored her UTME result -JAMB

The spokesperson of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Fabian Benjamin, has reacted to the controversies surrounding the alleged fake result being claimed a candidate who sat the 2023 UTME, Ejikeme Mmesoma.

Benjamin in an interview on Leadership Television explained “how Mmesoma mutilated her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinatiin (UTME)” result.

Since the release of the 2023 UTME results by JAMB, a number of candidates, including Mmesoma, have been claiming the highest score in the examination.

Sixteen-year-old Mmsesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi, claimed that she scored 362 in the examination.

The result being paraded by her shows that she scored 98 in English Language, 89 in Physics, 94 in Biology and 81 in Chemistry, totalling 362 of the 400 marks obtainable

This acclaimed feat had earned her accolades from Nigerians, including the government of Anambra State; while the founder of Innoson Vehicles, Innocent Chukwuma, had promised her a N3m scholarship in recognition of the brilliant result.

However, JAMB, on Sunday, disclaimed the result being claimed by Mmesoma, describing it as forged.

JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, in a statement on Sunday revealed that Mmesoma’s actual UTME score was 249 and not 362 as claimed by her.

The Board also threatened to withdraw her purported authentic result of 249 as a punishment.

Meanwhile, Mmesoma in a viral video on Monday had insisted that the controversial score of 362 claimed by her was printed from the JAMB website and that it was authentic because that was exactly how she downloaded it from the examination board’s website.

She lamented that the Board’s accusation had left her traumatised.

Reacting to her video on Tuesday, JAMB, through its spokesperson, explained how the UTME result was discovered to have been doctored.
