For the umpteenth time, Demola Odulaja, the estranged husband of the CEO of House of Phreedah Body Care, Farida Sobowale, alleges he left the two-month marriage because of his wife’s promiscuity.
Odulaja in a tell-it-all interview with Yoruba social commentator, ArewaTopeFamous, on Tuesday via Instagram Live, said, contrary to popular belief, he did not marry his estranged wife because of money, as he was also wealthy.
It would be recalled that Farida almost plunged into the lagoon at the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos, a fortnight ago, after the marriage had failed but was restrained by passers-by.
In a viral voice note on social media, she said her N100m marriage to Mr. Okulaja, crashed after two months.
Sobowale was seen in an earlier video being advised to desist from jumping into the lagoon, while rescuers assured her there was no need to take her own life. She was then whisked away into her vehicle and taken to an undisclosed destination.
The beleaguered woman said she could not endure the fallout of her crashed marriage and this prompted her decision to end her life.
However, Odulaja explained that he had known Sobowale for over 20 years and that their marriage was short-lived because of what he described as “unrestrained and promiscuous way of living.”
While fielding questions on Sobowale’s allegation that he is a gigolo, Odulaja said, “I am extremely wealthy. I live in a 22-bedroom mansion in Gbagada.
“I am not a gigolo. I come from a wealthy home and have been flying first class long before now, people know me well in London.
“When I got back to Nigeria from London in 2009, Farida met me in Lagos in 2010. That same year, I took her to China to start an importation business which, of course, yielded results and was the beginning of her travelling.”
The estranged hubby further disclosed that he had been in a romantic affair with Sobowale even when she was married to another ex-husband.
Odulaja, however, kept mute when he was asked if his estranged wife funded their N100m wedding single handed.
