Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, says he has never been involved in money rituals and has no intention of doing so in the future.
Despite his fame for playing occultic roles in movies, he says money rituals are “not good and will never be good.”
In a recent interview with Afia TV, the legendary thespian revealed that he was given the
name “Nnanyi Sacrifice” during billionaire businessman Obi Cubana’s mother’s funeral.
However, he immediately rejected the name.
Unfortunately, the label of “ritualist” stuck despite his refusal.
Kanayo emphasized that he is not concerned about what people call him as long as he is compensated for his work.
He firmly stated that he will never participate in money rituals and has never done so in the past.
The name “Nnanyi Sacrifice” was simply a nickname given to him during Obi Cubana’s
mother’s burial.
He believes that names have a way of sticking once they are not rejected.
Kanayo urged people to focus on the message rather than the name, as this can bring about positive change in society.
He considers himself a vessel for delivering important messages.
