A bungalow in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, was given to a widow, Patricia Iyere, by the Founder and General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere, on Monday.
According to a statement by Kenneth Nwachi, the Special Adviser (Special Duties) to Apostle Chinyere, the widow also received a car from the cleric for an Uber transport business.
The statement said that the widowed Iyere is a faithful member of the church who always cleaned the altar at the church headquarters.
She had reportedly approached the OPM founder for help after her house rent expired.
According to reports, Chinyere wanted to relocate her to one of the OPM’s 18 free estates, but they were all occupied.
He then decided to buy a house for her instead of giving her money to pay rent.
He reportedly instructed his agent to find a suitable property for the woman.
The agent could not find any mini estate, it was learnt, but he found a bungalow that Apostle Chinyere reportedly bought in Iyere’s name and handed over the documents to her, making her the owner of the house.
