In a shocking incident that transpired on September 15th, a middle-aged woman was apprehended by the Nchia Security Council, led by Abel Oluka, in collaboration with a group of local youths from the Agbonchia community.
The Akwa Ibom indigene is married to a native of the Agbonchia community in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The woman was said to have accused her husband of not sharing a ₦15,000 that had been paid him with her and their children, being the dividend earned as the host community to an oil company.
The mother-of-two was said to have poured acid onto her husband’s face, while she allegedly seized his ATM card also.
She was apprehended while hiding in the ceiling, neighbours said.
She has since been handed over to the Eleme Police Command, while her husband is currently receiving medical attention at an unstated hospital.
