Concerned women in Alegbo, Masoje, and Uti communities of Effurun in Delta State took to the streets on Thursday [today], blocking Jakpa Junction in protest against what they described as irregular power supply.
Expressing their frustration, they said they had endured nearly a year without electricity, while still receiving regular bills from the power company.
They vowed to keep the roads closed until the relevant authorities address the prolonged power outage in their communities.
