Zamfara Police officer laments 11-year-old daughter’s murder by bandits

A police officer’s 11-year-old daughter, Hauwa’u Lawali, was shot dead by armed bandits who kidnapped her from her home in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara state.

The incident happened on Sunday night when the bandits invaded the house of the officer who works for the Zamfara Police Command. They intended to abduct him, reports say, but they took his daughter instead.

According to a report by TVC News, the bandits killed the girl on Monday as they fled to the bush with her. They noticed that security forces were pursuing them and decided to eliminate her.

The Zamfara Police Command has confirmed the tragic incident and said that troops were already combing the bush to track down the terrorists.

The victim’s parents, Lawali and Ikilima, have received condolences from many people who sympathised with their loss.

“This little girl was abducted by kidnappers yesterday night Sunday, September 3rd, 2023 and was reportedly killed on Monday, September 4th, 2023 at Saminaka area of Gusau metropolis, Zamfara state.

“May her gentle soul rest in Jannatul Firdaus and let her father and mother bear the irreparable loss in good fate and the entire Muslim Ummah.

“May the curse of Allah be upon her killers here in the world and in the Hereafter.

“My special condolence to her dearest father Lawali and his wife Ikilima, relatives as well as family and friends,” he wrote.
