A young man from Kaduna State allegedly confessed to killing his own father after he allegedly saw him as a bird with a human face in his dream.
David Felix, 20, was arrested by the police on Saturday, September 30, 2O23, for allegedly hitting his father with a pestle while he was asleep in their home in Madakiya village, Zangon Kataf LGA.
The police spokesperson, ASP Mansir Hassan, said that the suspect admitted to the crime and regretted his action during an interrogation at the State Police Command Headquarters.
He said that the suspect told the police that his father appeared to him in his dream several times as a bird that wanted to harm him.
A family source who spoke to newsmen said that Felix was always troubled by his dreams and believed that his father was a wizard who wanted to kill him.
The source said that the family had tried to counsel him and had also taken him to a church for deliverance, but he refused to listen to counsel.
The source said that the family was shocked and saddened by the tragic incident that claimed the life of their father.
