- Allergies: Apart from not taking proper care of our skin, allergies are a major cause of dark circles. These allergies cause us to react a lot, pushing us to scratch the skin around the eyes. At some point, the difference in colour between the skin around the eyes and the other parts of the face becomes obvious.
- Not getting enough sleep: if you’re not getting enough sleep, maybe you’re a new mom, an entrepreneur or a nightwalker, and dark circles will start showing up.
- Iron deficiency: when you are iron deficient, you do not get oxygen to your skin tissues, and this causes the skin around your eyes to darken.
- Getting older: as we get older, the skin becomes lighter, losing collagen in the process, and this causes dark spots.
Remedies for Dark Circles
- Get enough sleep: if you have not been getting enough sleep for some reason or the other, you need to start sleeping for as much as 8 hours daily. There is no shortcut to this; if you are not getting enough sleep, you will get dark circles.
- Treat your allergies: if you have any allergies which cause you to itch your eyes, you need to treat them at once. Visit your doctor, and get the necessary solution to your allergy at once.
