Banana juice and crispy yam chips

Love your banana? Why not make a banana juice? It is tasty, rich in nutrients, and most importantly, it is healthy. Take a look at the recipe.

Ingredients
• Two big sliced bananas
• One tablespoon of honey
• 1½ cup of milk
• Half of an apple cored and chopped
Instructions
1. Start by washing and drying the bananas and apple.
2. Peel and slice the bananas, peel and halve the apple, then chop one half into medium pieces (save the other half for later use).
3. In a blender, combine the banana slices, apple pieces, and honey.
4. Add milk for a creamy texture or water for a lighter smoothie.
5. Blend until smooth. If it’s too thick, add more milk or water and blend briefly.
6. Serve the smoothie in glasses, garnished with a banana slice.

Yam chips

Oven-baked crispy yam chips
Frying is great but baking yam in the oven is way better. If you are looking for a yam recipe that is crisp as it is tasty, you should try this one out.

Servings: 2 individuals

Ingredients
• One teaspoon of curry powder
• One teaspoon of smoked paprika
• Salt to taste
• 25 g of butter
• A medium sized yam

Instructions
1. Heat your oven to 170°C (338°F).
2. Slice off one end of the yam, then cut it into large chunks.
3. Peel these chunks and cut them into stick or baton shapes. Immediately place them in a bowl of water to keep them from turning brown.
4. Drain the yam sticks using a colander and then transfer them to a mixing bowl.
5. Melt the butter until it’s liquid and pour it over the yam sticks. Add a pinch of salt and your choice of spices to the bowl.
6. Toss everything together to ensure the yam sticks are evenly coated, then spread them out on a baking tray.
7. Once the oven is preheated, bake the yam sticks for 20 minutes.
8. When done, take them out of the oven and serve them while they’re warm and crisp.
