BBNaija: I said very disgusting, embarrassing things -Seyi Awolowo

Big Brother Naija All Stars Housemate, Seyi Awolowo, owns up to saying “very disgusting and embarrassing things” about females.

In what he considers an apology to his female housemates concerning the derogatory statements he made last week after Saturday party, he practically ate his own dirty words.

Seyi had, during a discussion with fellow housemates in the ongoing #BBNaijaAllStars, said he would encourage his sons to ‘run train on’ people’s daughters.

He had since then come under fire over the utterance on a reality TV show, so much so that angry Nigerians had called for his disqualification from the house and all his brand deals be cancelled.

Even the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) condemned the misogynistic comments made by Seyi.

In a statement on Sunday, the Lagos DSVA said, “We strongly condemn the comments made by Seyi Awolowo in the disturbing video that has surfaced. Such remarks perpetuate harmful attitudes and contribute to a culture of violence and abuse.”

Seyi however became remorseful during the diary session on Tuesday, expressing regret over his utterances after Big Brother informed him about the backlash his statement had generated.

He has today apologised to his fellow housemates, especially all women in the house, saying, “The utterances were something I am really not proud of, I’m ashamed of it. I know when you guys go out of here and see that clip, you will be disgusted.

“I said very disgusting and embarrassing things that I ought not to have said. I sincerely want to apologise to every single woman and everyone in the house.”
