Jnr Pope: Anambra Police arrest boat operators

Anambra State Police Command says it has arrested operators of the boat in which the late Nollywood actor, John Paul Odonwodo, aka, Junior Pope, was travelling before he and three others met their deaths.

The state police spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this.

This is even as Ikenga said the producer of the movie, Adanma Luke, had voluntarily turned herself in to the Police.

He added that other members of the cast and crew of the movie would be invited for questioning.

Ikenga said, “The boat operators have been arrested. Even the producer of the movie, Adanma Luke. Their statements were taken, and interrogation is ongoing.

“Other members of the cast and crew of the movie will be invited for questioning.”

The news of Pope’s death was shared on Wednesday, April 10, by filmmaker, Samuel Olatunji.

He said that the actor, along with three others, died when their boat capsized.
